Literature, history and legend came together once again for “Los Misterios de la Alhambra II.” The event is a Spanish literary evening inspired by the Alhambra. Magas and EL ESPAÑOL organised the evening at the Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo in Granada. The event brought together some of Spain’s most recognised authors. They gave life to original short stories inspired by the secrets of the Alhambra.
Espido Freire, Cristina Higueras, Nativel Preciado, Marta Robles and Cruz Sánchez de Lara each read their stories during the evening. They shared tales full of intrigue, mystery and betrayal with the audience. As a result, guests stepped into a world where literature and heritage merged into a single, memorable experience.
The evening highlighted, once again, Granada’s potential as a cultural backdrop and a source of artistic inspiration. Through stories written specially for the occasion, the authors explored different angles on the history and legends of the Alhambra. In fact, the Alhambra remains one of the most visited monuments in Spain. In addition, Granada’s mayor, Marifrán Carazo, welcomed guests to the event. It was a fitting gesture: UNESCO has named Granada a City of Literature.
At Movviendo Tourism Group, we were proud to support this cultural gathering. We coordinated transport for the authors and participants throughout the evening. Taking part in events that champion culture and heritage in Granada matters to us. It also reflects our broader commitment to the destinations we work in.
We thank the organisers and every author for trusting our team with this collaboration. We also value the chance to have contributed to such a memorable evening. Its quality and cultural depth made it stand out. It also brought literature closer to the public through a fresh, evocative lens.
