Sustainability is a journey, not a destination. Like any journey, it starts with small steps.
Earlier this month, at the ICCA Global Association Forum 2025, Movviendo Tourism Group was invited to share how we are steadily moving toward a more sustainable approach to tourism and event logistics. During our participation, we highlighted some of the key actions we have implemented.
In transportation, we have replaced older vehicles with hybrid and electric models. Furthermore, we group transfers to reduce emissions and optimise routes to avoid unnecessary trips.
As a DMC in Andalusia, we design events with purpose. Venues are selected for walkability and unnecessary journeys are minimised. In addition, we work exclusively with suppliers who share our environmental values.
Our collaboration extends to local guides, artisans and small businesses. Moreover, we believe sustainability is not only environmental — it is also social and economic. Recently, we joined the Movimiento Huella Verde, an initiative led by the Granada Chamber of Commerce. This step strengthens our commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change.
We are proud of the progress we have made. However, we are even more committed to the challenges ahead. We thank ICCA, the Granada Convention Bureau and Turismo y Deporte de Andalucía for the opportunity to share our work and vision. Overall, we continue learning and adapting every day toward more conscious and responsible tourism in Southern Spain.
