At Movviendo Tourism Group, we recently joined a Sierra Nevada sustainability action that reflects the type of tourism we believe in: active, conscious and committed to the natural environment.
Our team participated in the cleanup day of the Sierra Nevada ski area, alongside more than 120 volunteers who shared a common goal. Furthermore, everyone worked together to preserve and protect this unique environment in Southern Spain. This kind of initiative reflects our belief that responsible tourism must go beyond words and translate into concrete actions on the ground.
We want to thank all the organisations that made this initiative possible: Cetursa Sierra Nevada S.A., La Huella Verde, Fundación “la Caixa”, FAMES, FADI, the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andalusia, the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development and Environment at the University of Granada, and all collaborators involved. Moreover, their commitment demonstrates that sustainability in Andalusia is a shared responsibility across sectors.
For Movviendo Tourism Group, sustainability is not just a commitment it is an ongoing journey. Every action counts. As a DMC in Andalusia with over 30 years of experience, we integrate respect for the environment into every travel experience and event we design. In addition, we actively promote the La Huella Verde seal, which recognises our environmental management practices and our involvement in initiatives like this one.
Caring for the environment is also a responsible way to travel. As a result, we keep learning, joining efforts and advancing towards more conscious and sustainable tourism in Southern Spain. Overall, days like this one in Sierra Nevada remind us why sustainability must be at the heart of every decision we make as a tourism group.
